Hail the New Year

Well we are now in the new year
Sick of all the party food and beer
The plastic smiles and false good cheer
People shouting so loud, you can’t hear
And every one calling everyone, “my dear”
But the Gods bestow new gifts as always
Something special for each of the 365 days
A new sunrise or sunset for our eyes to gaze
Becoming one with nature in a myriad of ways
The beauty of this world never ceasing to amaze
Love
