Love and Fire

Tonight is the festival of Venus, goddess of love and passion
So wine, dine and make love for it is the pagan fashion
Let the fire of your ardour burn until the morn
For that is when the festival of fire spirits is born
We witches are often too serious and even dour
At times I can be without humour and downright sour
The Wiccan balance to our responsibility is joy and fun
Dancing under the moon and greeting the rising sun
Our Lord and Lady do not sternly decree; “Thou shalt not”
And it harm none they laughingly proclaim; “You did What”?
