Samhain 2010

The veil’s portal opened wide
And the dead entered side by side
Lord Hades stood at the portal agreeing
For this night only his charges freeing
Hecate was there showing the way
Telling them that they could not stay
We feasted on cakes ale and tears
The presence of the dead causing no fears
For this night we embraced those who died
In love and remembrance we for ourselves cried.
Author's Notes: Being in the southern hemisphere we are 6 months out from the north. We celebrated samhain tonight
