Break Up

My little girl was with him for 3 years
They had many laughs and some tears
Now the silly man tells her on the phone
That from now on she will have to be alone
In total desolation she sits and cries
But her tears fall also from my eyes
Goddess, only your love can set this right
Within and without watching day and night
Console and comfort her as only you can
Bring her a devout and worthy man
A true daughter of the Goddess
Long black hair and matching dress
Eyes a hue of smouldering gray
The most beautiful by night or day
Her voice soft and gentle like a breeze
As it softly sings through leafy trees
Quick thoughts flow through her mind
And she is always gentle, loving and kind
I at a samhain promised her departed mother
That I would love her as a sage, father and brother
Author's Notes: My stepdaughter's partner of 3 years has just broken up with her over the phone
