Passing the Veil

When it is my time, long off or today
Lady Hecate waits to show me the way
From the crossroads all the way there
To Grandfather Hades’ lovely lair
Grandfather takes me by the hand
And leads me to the Summerland
Here I feel the soft grass under my feet
Hear the song of birds and wind so sweet
My youth is back and I feel no pain
I bask in the sun and stroke a lion’s mane
Cooling my skin off in a crystal clear pool
The water not cold but pure, sweet and cool
Large black smooth rocks both warm and soft
Helios smiling from his perch way up aloft
Lying on a rock in the sun I am fulfilled, complete
Having merged with the deity is the great feat
A beautiful woman to kiss me and make love
Silky hair, she caresses me as soft as a dove
Then I wait for Lady Clothos for a new dawn
For She will tell me when it’s time to be reborn.
