Epiphany and Love

Yesterday people celebrated epiphany day
The day is past but the epiphany is here to stay
In a rare quiet moment an idea brushed the mind
It was suddenly there, its source impossible to find
The Gods breathed upon the spirit and soul
A vision as bright and bubbly as a dancing foal
An emotion so profound, compelling and deep
That the heart did ache and the eyes did weep
I with great joy thank the Gods I am a Pagan
And can receive their epiphanies again and again
The Gods are grinding me exceedingly fine
Teaching me to accept strife without a whine
There are times when the pain is hard to bear
Just then I feel The Goddess stroke my hair
Fates placed a mortal goddess into my life
Seeing those eyes I wanted her for my wife
But my fervent offer she graciously declined
My heart is broken for she is always in my mind
Long golden hair and a smile as warm as the sun
A noble heart and soul, she is for me the only one
Maybe one glorious day she will change her mind
And I will in her beautiful face love for me find
Until that time comes I will with patience wait
Hovering hopefully and expectantly at her gate
In my dreams we laugh and walk hand in hand
On her face a smile and on her finger a golden band
The bidding of The Ancient Ones we do as a team
Oh Lord and Lady I ask you to fulfil this dream
Place together Spirit of The Sun and Fire Cloud
That our joy may fill the air and ring out loud
