Love in the Morning

The Sun rose majestically above the blood red sky
The sky was red with blood as my heart began to die
The breeze was my sighs and the clouds my tears
My spirit quivered and quaked with all of my fears
The passion within me so burning and so strong
That my soul strains and my heart beats like a gong
I am not the first to lose in love but all is not lost
For I am a determined witch and will persist at my cost
I may not use my magick to woo her to my side
But I ask the Gods to open up her eyes and heart wide
The battle is hard and long and I suffer much pain
But it is worth it for she smiles a rainbow after the rain
Her cobalt blue eyes shine and sparkle with a light so bright
That they turn my heart to water and create day from night
Touching her smooth skin it feels both warm and cool
It is this beauty that has turned me into a lovesick fool
Unlike some beauties she has a heart and soul that’s kind
No matter how hard I search another like her I’ll never find
So Lord Eros take an arrow and write my name on it
Send it straight to her heart while I pray for a perfect hit
