Oh to Teach

Oh great sun I wish to thank you as you launch this day
That you indulged me and let me have my own way
The train is on course and has already left the station
My prayers were answered and I will return to my vocation
With the rising sun I will pronounce “once more into the breach”
For The Lord and Lady have lead me to a school where I will teach
This school is run with care, love, insight and a wondrous vision
To fit in and both learn and teach at this haven, will be my mission
There is nothing more challenging than a virgin young mind
Craving love, knowledge and their own inner-journey to find
The Goddess is love and The God is respect and each the other
If we have these we are whole and ready to serve the Mother
To mould a young mind and life is a great responsibility
The danger of a catastrophic mistake always a possibility
I do not lecture as such, I merely point in a certain direction
The child will pursue this or not, at their own discretion
I offer my mind and soul as a road upon which they may walk
We will both find our own right way as we sit and talk
After this great gift, I feel greedy to ask that “she” might stand
In my life, with me and beside me, my friend, partner and right hand.
