The Eagle Soars
by Des
Age Group: Adult
As the sun arose into the sky, such a glorious sight
Two eagles took wing and began their flight
They wheeled in circles, some large and some tight
Swooping and soaring with the poise of a paper kite
The Gods sent them to protect good and evil to fight
Their talons extended to guard and protect the right
Great beauty was given to them as well as awesome might
Their bodies was earth-brown and their heads pure white
They looked down and saw all needs even from that height
With fate in the hands of Gods and eagles the future is bright
