Amethyst Books & Essence is a unique bookshop in Chilliwack, BC. We offer both new and used books and feature a variety of natural and distinctive products good for the mind, body & spirit. Our focus is on metaphysics, mystic arts, healing arts, spirituality and earth wisdom.
We provide a selection of tumbled stones and crystals, natural stone jewelry, essential oils, color baths, color energy products, salt and rock lamps, candles, agate bookends, incense and smudge, singing bowls, leaded glass crystals for hanging in your windows or around your neck and more good stuff. We are growing our stock as we get to know our customers. If you need a certain product or would like to see a certain item in the store please let us know and we will do our best to have it in stock.
We stock Tarot Cards, Oracles, Runes, Pendulums and I Ching coins. It doesn't seem possible to stock every Tarot and Oracle out there but chances are we can get the one you want - just ask!
Our book selection changes all the time. We have some wicca, magic, and mystic arts books on the shelves at all times. Our selection of self-help, personal and spiritual growth, zen & Buddhism, and metaphysics is fairly extensive. We can order specific new books for you and maybe even a used one (but the cost is a little high on the used because of the shipping) . And ... if you just want to read an ordinary story book we have those too! Fantasy, Romance, Mystery, Spy, Thriller, General Fiction, Canadian, Prize Winning Literature, etc. We have other subjects too - such as Health & Well Being, Photography, History, Business & Finance and more!

Directions: We are on Young Road, mid-town Chilliwack, between Alexander and Chesterfield in a small strip mall on the west side of the road. Young Road is a north/south main artery of Chilliwack. We are located just north of the railway crossing.
