Shop Profile: The Threads That Bind Us is an eclectic metaphysical and thrift store with a social conscience.
We offer handmade metaphysical and ritual items such as incense, herbal/magickal teas, wands, pentacles, staves, fairies, magickal bath salts, divination tools & rune sets. We have a small selection of quality crystals which we are expanding all the time, and we order in items from metaphysical suppliers to supplement our collection! You can find original Pagan, goth, fantasy and tie-dyed T-shirts side-by-side with handmade leather corsets, a variety of quality thrift items, vintage collectables, and art and craft works from local Pagan and non-Pagan artists. We also feature a Reiki and Tarot room, a psychic & rescue medium, shamanic journeyworker, runecaster, and ritual piercer; all services are available daily by appointment, and you can usually just drop in for Tarot or Reiki. There is also a metaphysical lending library available to the public, and 20% of its profit is donated to the North Okanagan Congregationalist Wiccan Association.
We are hosting Practical Magick classes on Tuesday nights and a Women's Mysteries discussion group on the first Sunday of each month (see our Witchvox. listings for more information.) There are lots of great summer events coming up as well!
We will make custom items to order, including magickal jewellery, charms & talismans, custom oil blends, ritual tools and crystal elixirs.
10% of our profit is donated to the Vernon Women's Centre. We are happy to accept donations and are willing to discuss showing your works, if you are an artisan; please contact us for details.

Directions: From the south: head into town via Hwy 97, past the lights at the bottom of the hill. On your right you will see a diving and watersports place called Innerspace. Turn right onto 31st Avenue at Innerspace and head up one block to 31st Street; Vernon Lock & Safe and the Vernon Flower Shop will be on your left, Toppers Cleaners and the Pro Life Thrift shop will be on your right. Turn right at 31st Street and you will see our sign, right between the Bean There Bistro and the Kush Organics.From the north: take the 27th Street exit and head into town along 27th Street. After three lights, you will see a 7-11 on your right and beside it the Daoist Tai Chi hall. Turn right BEFORE the 7-11 onto 32nd Avenue. Three blocks up you will see the public library. Turn left at the intersection with the clock tower and the multicultural mural (31st Street.) You will see our sign, right between the Bean There Bistro and the Kush Organics.Please note that parking is metered in that area and you will need change for the meter (bring at least a loonie!) These directions work most easily with the flow of traffic, but if those fail you, try these ones:From points South:From Hwy 97, turn right onto 30 Ave.; turn left on 31 St. at Nolan's Pharmacy. We are between The Kush Organics and Shambhala on the left hand side of the street.From points North:From Hwy 97, turn left on 31 Ave.; right on to 31 St. at Topper's Cleaners. We are between Shambhala and The Kush Organics on the right hand side of the street.
