Shop Profile: We’re proud that Broomsticks has become known as one of Leek’s best alternative shops. It’s also the only shop to specialise in Pagan/Wicca items for miles around.
From teenage Goths in eyeliner to people who just appreciate unusual items, our customers are a diverse bunch. We aim to cater for everyone who appreciates different and unusual items.
Rock fans will appreciate the music we play - feel free to sing along! No air guitar though please, or we’ll have to turn you into a frog.
We carry a popular and ever changing range of stunning handmade greetings cards. They’re so unusual and beautiful that our customers often buy them just to put in a frame!
Pagans, Witches and other spiritual folk will enjoy our range of books and handmade Pagan items. Amongst our treasures are handmade, one off cloaks made by a local artist, and elaborate one-off velvet altar cloths and Tarot bags by Pagan artist Layla Randle-Conde. You can even buy a spell kit to perfom your own love, healing or money spell (all 100% white witchcraft of course!) .
Budding fortune-tellers will love our range of Tarot cards, handmade Rune-stones, Tarot bags and books on divination.
Gothic godesses will find yards of lace and velvet on our clothes rails. PVC & Lycra too - we stock Nomads, Darkstar and Jordash clothes in sizes from teeny fairy to gorgeous Goddess! Our tops, skirts and gowns go up to a voluptuous size 24.
Our resident Tarot readers and Mediums are very popular with both locals and tourists. Find out what the future holds for you most weekdays and Saturday.
We love Halloween of course, and every October the shop is bursting at the seams with fantastic costumes and accessories.
You’ll find us in Leek, on the edge of some spectacular and spiritual landscape. The town itself is around 800 years old, full of history and ghosts. Come and visit us! There are plenty of things to do in Leek, from exploring ancient landscapes and history to shopping in the market and soaking up the atmosphere in the friendly local pubs.
