Call First: Over the Past 8 Years Witchvox has featured over 2.000 local shops. During that time ONLY 3 shops have informed us that they were closed, hundreds never bothered, much to the frustration of customers that drove to the shop only to find it 'out of business'... We highly recommend that you CALL Local shop listings before you make the trip. - Witchvox Staff

Shop Profile: Sleipnir Pagan/Alternative Spirituality Shop:

Sleipnir is my second store. In 1993 I created a shop called Handled With Care with my mother, within 6 months of it's opening, my mother began having TIA's, aka mini strokes, within 8 months she had a brainstem CVA which required 24 hr care and I was left to manage her care, as well as what became, my shop. My mom survived this non-life for almost 8 years, and my shop evolved, growing in ways I never imagined. Life has a way of changing things though and after 11 successful years, and with my own health having taken a downturn, Social Security demanded I sell my shop in order for me to get the medical care I needed. In 2014, 10 years later with the rules having changed, I was told I could once more have it back. It's been two years now since I re-opened, customers from my first shop have been finding their way back to me and many more new ones are discovering Sleipnir.

The shop carries most of your traditional store fare, incense (sticks, cones, and resins) sages, stones, oils, candles, kits, jewelry, books and tarot decks, cauldrons, mortar and pestle sets, and staffs. We also carry statuary and wall hangings, tapestries, backpacks, totes, t-shirts, hippie/ bohemian and Steampunk clothing and accessories, and jewelry. Not just Pagancentric, you'll find items for those practicing Buddhism, Native American spirituality, and other belief-systems in our shop. We accept merchandise on consignment as well as buy wholesale from retailers and independent artists. We are thrilled to announce that we have just added the Visionary Art of Paul B. Rucker to our inventory. Paul's prints come in 4 sizes, and include signed, numbered limited editions. We are also carrying his blank notecards and postcards.

After having been open for 6 months we discovered our first location just wasn't the proper fit for us and we are now doing business in the lower half of an 1880's Italianate building in Historic Downtown Burlington. Our new location is allowing us to participate in citywide events as well as continue with those we had already planned for the shop. Classes, Moon and Sabbat Rituals, a monthly Pagan group and a Game Night are all on the schedule now.

Our classroom is also available as a community gathering space during store hours and for group or organization meetings. If you are interested in booking it for your group's use, please contact us during shop hours.

I'm personally a tarot reader, having been taught to read by Mark Ryan on his deck, The Greenwood Tarot, over two seminars which I'd brought him in to teach at my previous store. I've now been reading for over 13 years and have retired my Greenwood decks for Mark's newest, The Wildwood Tarot.

I am an ordained Minister available to do Handfastings as well as weddings or other rituals. In addition to my ordination I participated in a week-long Ministry Intensive on Handfastings and Weddings taught by Selena Fox at PSG in 2016. I also do house cleansings and blessings, feel free to contact us via phone or facebook for more specifics or stop in during regular shop hours.

We are currently in search of guest readers, instructors for seminars and classes, and musicians to share their talents and skills. Watch the Events calendar for listings of what's to come, we're listing things as we book them.

Call us or message us through our Facebook if you're interested in sharing your talents through the shop either as an artist or teacher, or are interested in a reading.
