Shop Profile: Salem's Moon is a full service Wiccan/Pagan store offering a complete line of hand-blended incenses, oils, custom carved spell candles, jewelry, books, tarot cards, ritual tools and supplies and more. We are offering an outer court Wiccan Pagan Way study group and will also be offering regular seminars and workshops at the store. Open Sabbats on all the the major holidays!
The store is owned by George Micewicz - George was born in Yonkers NY and raised in a predominantly Polish neighborhood. His early religious education was under the guidance of the good sisters. As life went on this education hindered his development of what he felt was out there calling him. He was able to feel something around him guiding him in a different direction. However the fear instilled in him by his early teachers stopped him from pursuing this feeling.
Twelve years ago, after much research, George realized his early religious instructors left out many important facts about early Christian roots. This was not to be misleading, but guided by the same fear he had felt. So, he started a new path and new direction. George believes everyone has a special power or gift within and that we should all work to develop these gifts - each to his or her full potential
George worked for a large corporation for 25 years, then left to work independently. He became a licensed private investigator and pistol instructor and now; the owner of Salem’s Moon.
General Manager/Private Tarot Readings - Paula Forester/Lady Gnosis HPs - Paula Forester was born in Detroit, Michigan where she received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Communication. She moved to New York in 1985 when she produced and directed a video documentary about the real Witches in Salem, Massachusetts called "Bewitched in Salem". Though Paula had been into metaphysics since a child, this was her introduction into the Craft.
She worked in Manhattan's corporate world as a publicist for many years including publicity manager at Tor/Forge (St. Martin's Press) , Ruder Finn and more.
But... a more spiritual life was calling.
As she worked under a private investigator in the city, Paula also became the general manger of Enchantments Inc.l in NYC and became initiated into the Neo-Gardnerian/Minoan Traditions. She is also an honorary Cabot 3rd degree.
Paula then worked at The Broomstick in Liberty, NY until 2010 when she branched out to bigger and better things.
She brings to Salem's Moon her knowledge and experience in the Craft for over 27 years and is a Gardnerian High Priestess as well as an accomplished psychic tarot reader, spirit communicator and paranormal investigator.
She brings insight and depth into the store and is always happy to teach and answer questions from people of all walks of life.
