Shop Profile: Belladonnas is the realization of a life long dream for me! I was born in New Orleans, and was fortunate enough to travel throughout Europe with my family until I was about 13 years old. I was very blessed to work for a shoppe called the Joyful Alternative while I was in college, and it completely changed my life! They had opened the shoppe in 1969, and it was a true landmark for Columbia, SC until it closed in 2003. I will forever be grateful to my mentor and friend, Barbara for teaching me everything she knew about running a successful local shoppe! I search the world for the most unique things I can find! Everything comes from its point of origin~ Egypt, Madagascar, the United States, Brazil, China, Japan, and many, many more places! I have also been blessed to meet several local artists who have allowed me to carry their artwork and jewelry in the shoppe! Each piece is unique and wonderful in its own way! I hope you can find diversity and union in each and every one! I invite you to come down and visit any time! I named my shoppe after the herb deadly night shade, or belladonna, because it is now considered poisonous, but was once heavily used in the Victorian era as a sedative, to dilate the pupil, and as a counter active agent for poisoning. I feel the same concept is true for religion. Anything that is misused or abused can have harmful affects. Since I carry religious items from around the world, I am trying to promote their proper use and dispel any fear or negativity by educating people with the knowledge I have about their origin and proper use. The only thing I ask is that customers have an open heart and mind! Namaste~ Jen

Directions: WE HAVE MOVED!! Come check out our new Shoppe! We are now located at 612 Saint Andrews Rd. Suite 1 in Ashland Park. In the same shopping center with Thai Lotus, Taqueria Jalisco, Mcdonalds, and Sandy's Hotdogs. We are directly across the street from Avon and Pizza Hut. Look for the green awnings! We now have a lot more shoppe space, tons of free parking, a massage therapist, and a hair stylist to serve your needs! We also have a wonderful classroom! Check out the website for a calender of events!
