So why do I think I am qualified to teach you the Tarot?
I am a believer that the Tarot is a tool, in which it's use can be learned by anyone willing to learn. As with all education focus' there will be those who are naturally apt at their skills, excelling, even past their teachers, but most people can learn sufficient to utilise their skills in many areas of their life, from person gain to career growth.
I consider myself one of those people who have a natural disposition to using the Tarot. There is a history in my family lineage, with connections to spirituality, mediumship and divination, and I feel I am one of the lucky ones that inherited this skill.
I have naturally been able to predict many things as a child, and had relationships with spirit whilst growing up. As I approached adulthood, I learned to read divination tools, such as tea leaves, whilst spending time with my mother and grandmother, which has resulted in me learning about and gaining an understanding how these things work and how others may learn to use them.
I have since learned how to read the Tarot, though a combination of instinct, self learning and mentor guidance. I have spent much time developing and using my skills, reading for those closest to me.
I consider my knowledge and understanding of the Tarot to be sound, meaning I am able to impart this knowledge and guide others into learning the tool for themselves. I have been giving guidance readings on a professional level since May 2011 and feel that I understand the need of the client. This has been further influenced by my extensive work in retail/customer service between 1995 and 2004. I feel that I am able to communicate well with others and help others learn what to expect from clients and how to deal with situations that may arise.
In addition, I have the skill to impart this knowledge in a professional educational manner. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education, which means I am trained in creating course outlines and syllabi. I am confident that I can provide an educational experience that allows the student to reach their own potential without being limited by other's expectations, but also enables them to understand the content. This degree enables me to understand the needs of the student (you) and betters my ability to cater for your needs and facilitate your learning.
I hope that you consider me qualified to teach you how to select and use the Tarot and once becoming a student feel comfortable in the delivery of my lessons. I teach using a facilitator type teaching style, in that I provide the materials, but expect the student to do the work. I am happy to ask questions and give guidance, but this path is your learning journey, and as such you are expected to complete the exercises and do your own further research.
