Skill/Service Details: I am a vocalist (high baritone) and multi-instrumentalist (lever and medieval harp, guitar, psaltery, recorder) with 19 years of professional experience.
I am available for concerts, private events, handfastings/weddings, and funerals.
My repertoire includes:
Self composed songs and instrumentals with nature based/pagan themes and imagery.
Improvisation (to accompany healing, labyrinths, meditation)
Traditional musics from:
1. The British Isles (Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man, Cornwall) and Ireland
2. Scandinavia: Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland
3. Western Europe: Germany, France, Italy, Spain
4. Japan
5. Quebec
Early music:
1. Medieval European: France, England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Sweden
2. Renaissance European: France, England, Scotland
I have recorded three cds and have had national and international radio airplay and concert exposure.
Rates: My rates vary dependent upon the type and length of performance required (e.g. concert versus background music) , the travel required, the preparation necessary (learning new repertoire) . As an estimate a local handfasting/wedding ceremony would be about $200 to $250 (includes music in my repertoire prior to and during ceremony) . It is best to just inquire directly and give me a sense of your budget though as each situation is unique.
