Skill/Service Details: Champissage, also known as Indian Head massage, is an ancient Ayurvedic healing technique. Ayurveda is an ancient healing system from India, the word Ayurveda is a combniation of 2 Sanskrit words "Ayus" meaning life and "Veda" meaning knowledge or science.This healing system believes in healing on all levels to acheive absolute health, body, mind and spiri and senses must be in harmony.
Champissage dates back as much as 3000 years ago.Although fairly new to North America, has been used all these years in India to promote healing. The massage technique used focus' on the upper back, arms, neck, scalp and face; these are muscles many of us fail to recognize as needing some TLC. The focus of the massage also enhances spiritual healing by incorporating the meridian and pressure points of the spiritual and emotional bodies with the physical release of tension.
Traditionally this massage is done seated and over clothing, at Let it Heal we offer this both seated (if you prefer) or laying down. By modifying the technique for a laying position, it enhances the bodies ability to relax, bringing a more balanced harmony to all levels of self.
