Open Community Events at Sacred Sites

Skill/Service Details: At minimum, the 4 Irish Fire festivals are celebrated by community members bringing fire to the top of Rathcroghan, Co. Roscommon - the most important sacred ceremonial centre of the west of Ireland for over 2000 years.
There are also many other events, classes and workshops which will be of interest to those of a pagan or Irish magical persuasion being run at the Cruachan Aí heritage centre, sign up to their monthly newsletter, check their blog (www.cruachanai.blogspot.com) or the facebook page (www.facebook.com/Rathcroghan) for details.
These include presentations on Irish festivals and folk traditions, deity, archaeology, traditional crafts workshops, etc. Well worth checking out.
Please note that this is a community organisation, not a national agency, so all support is needed. Also, the proper archaeological and family safety issues are always taken into account when working at sacred sites - leave no trace!
Rates: Rathcroghan events are always free, of course!, Classes and workshops run from the centre are always reasonable, from €4 including free tea/coffee, and they do family discounts and special offers all the time.
