Henna is a temporary skin decoration made from a natural pigment in the leaves of the henna plant. It is painless and gentle, dyes the skin for a period of 1-3 weeks and is a traditional body ornamentation practiced throughout India, the Middle East and North Africa. I am a skilled henna artist with over 15 years experience, providing beautiful and ornate body art for celebration of the body, blessing, and symbolic meaning. Henna is traditional as a blessing and adornment for brides and grooms before a wedding, and is also a wonderful way to bless and celebrate the body at all times of life.
Tattoo
I offer my art and design skills to give you permanent works of beauty and power to adorn your body. I began tattooing in spring of 2010. I bring 25 years of art and design practice to my tattooing work, along with a broad knowledge of the mythic languages of images, symbols, sigils and magickal alphabets. In addition to inking your tattoo, I can use my artistry and magickal knowledge to help you develop the design that expresses your vision. If you wish, your tattooing can be embedded in a ritual process in which I bring my skills as a priestess to charge your tattoo as a mark of your unique power and identity, a living spell, or a shrine within your body to the forces, deities or spirits of your choice. I practice careful sanitation according to OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen standards.
Rates: I am available for henna appointments at $75 per hour, or a negotiated fee for specific work. For example, a full hand is usually about $40-50. For henna parties, bridal henna, or blessing ways, a flat rate can be worked out depending on the size of your group or the amount of work desired. , For tattoo design services, the rate is $75 per hour. For tattooing, the rate is $40 per hour. (That low rate reflects my apprentice status and will be increased as I gain professional experience) . Ritual services can be included with tattooing at no extra cost. , I can be available by arrangement for appointments in the South and East Bay as well as at Stone City.
