The mantic arts have been practiced in one form or another by all cultures and civilizations throughout history, and human civilization. Due to natural human’s innate desire to discover what the future holds and to gain access to the supernatural human has devised a great number of techniques and methods in the civilization.
Generally, mantic is relating to divination, soothsaying, and prophecy. Personally, divination is the magical art of receiving information about future events right now in the present. No doubt, more specifically it is also used to achieve greater understand of past and present happenings. Diviners practice prophetic arts, the mantic arts. The Greek word “mantikos” means “prophet”. Divination should be treated with the great respect including appropriate cleaning and protective rituals, the same for “tools”.
Probably, the most difficult part of divination may come in formulating the question or questions. It is not a matter to leave it vague; it should apply the precise language.
