Ancestral Blessings is 8 beautiful acres and is adjacent to over 150 acres of Kane County Forest Preserve. It's the ideal outdoor location for your Wedding, Reception or Spiritual Gathering, with lush lawn areas, prairie areas, 2 very large ponds, open fire pits, thousands of trees, many "intimate little hideaway spots" and abundant native flora and fauna. If you’re looking for a private, natural setting then you'll love the Sanctuary. We offer an "intimate, natural oasis full of life and love" (as one of our friends so eloquently puts it) ; the perfect place for your Gathering, Celebration or Ceremony.
Need an Officiant? I am an ordained interfaith minister since 1998, and I also write and/or put together ceremonies for couples who wish it. I think an original or personalized ceremony adds so much to this special day...and always print a beautiful copy for a keepsake. I am also available for planning/set up help and advise if necessary...I've gained some experience over the years so I can usually help :-)
Handfastings, Blessings, Vow Renewals, Weddings, Sabbat and Esbat Celebrations, etc., Wedding Venue, Receptions Venue, Spiritual Gatherings, Drummings, Seasonal Celebrations, etc.

Rates: The cost for the use of the land is $ 500.00. This DOES NOT include tents, tables and chairs, port-a-potties, etc. There is also a deposit of $ 300.00 for necessary clean up, damages, or unforseen conditions that may arise.Your deposit will be fully or partially refunded depended upon conditions. , , The cost for my services is $ 250.00. This includes officiating the ceremony and writing or personalizing for you if you wish. If the planning/set up gets very involved there can be an added charge...although I have never added a charge ;-) , , Keep in mind that you do not have to use my services to enjoy the property. And if you decide to have your wedding somewhere else I would be happy to officiate the ceremony anywhere!
