GOAL:
It is my intention to assist and support those individuals who desire or intend to release those less than joyful feelings (stress) from within their bodies. This is done in a most gentle and playful way that will bring both fun and joy back into their lives!
We will be using water-based paints (Tempra --What kids use for finger painting) , brushes & paper. Participants will be painting for process, the process of opening themselves up to creativity. This will also allow them to get in touch with their beautiful inner-selves in a very special way. This will be done with care in a fun, creative and safe environment.
PARTICIPANT PRE-REQUISITE:
NOTHING! This is NOT a "How To Paint or Draw Class", there is no end product, this is not for show and there's no judging in this Healing Through Creative Art PlayShop.
The participant needn't know how to paint in order to be involved with this process. They will have to invent as they go along by responding to their intuition, a feeling from the inside, that inner urge, just as children do!
The participants technique will evolve on its' own, as contact with that inner creative aspect of themselves develops. All they need do is follow where the brush wants to go, without any resistance or preconceived concepts. In short, they follow their feelings and go wherever it and the brush take them …It's just that simple!
PURPOSE:
To release stress or those less than joyful feelings held within, in a lighthearted fun way through the use of paint. We will be creatively painting for process, the process of opening up to creativity and joy! When one opens up to creativity he or she releases tension and stress, for the two cannot dwell in the same moment, space and time.
Some thoughts or elements that create stress, may also impact upon ones overall health. It also has a tendency to crush the joy of creative expression or freedom and this in itself may create a less than joyful situation. This process of intuitive creative painting may be a delightfully wonderful tool or way one can move through stress and into joy.
