Skill/Service Details: I call myself a Washington Witchdoctor, which is a tongue-in-cheek way of saying that I am a Pagan shamanic healer from Washington, DC.
I have had a professional shamanic practice in the Maryland suburbs of DC since 1999.
I also have a shamanic school that welcomes people of all religions and spiritual traditions, or none.
I graduated from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies Three Year Program in Advanced Shamanism and Shamanic Healing in 2001. In 2006, I graduated from Sandra Ingerman's Two Year Shamanic Teacher Training class. Over the years, I have taken classes of shorter durations taught by shamans Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman, Larry Peters, Nan Moss & David Corbin, Myron Eshowsky and Herb Stevenson.
In addition to my shamanic training, I have been studying Witchcraft, Pagan religions and magic for more than twenty-five years. I began studying Witchcraft with Andras Corban Arthen of the EarthSpirit Community, when I was going to graduate school in Boston in 1984. At this point, I am multiply initiated and have served on the boards of five local Pagan organizations over the course of many years. Currently I help organize an annual conference in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area called Sacred Space, at www.sacredspacefoundation.org
My website www.mythkenner.com answers most questions about my shamanic healing practice, while www.gryphonsgrove.org focuses on my shamanic training program. I have a two year shamanic training program: the first year is devoted to shamanism for personal use and in the second year we introduce shamanic healing practices.
All of my healings are empowered by the Pagan deities from myriad traditions whom I hold dear.
Rates: $150 for a healing session lasting between one and two hours , $50 a lesson for monthly circles beginning at 11am and lasting until 5pm ($40 for students, elders and job seekers) See www.gryphonsgrove.org for curriculum and schedule
