The SCWF is a North Carolina based Wiccan Church. It holds tax exempt status and has its Articles of Incorporation as well as its bylaws registered with the State and Federal Governments. All of our Initiated members are Mentors or Sponsors and each holds the title of Priestess or Priest within the SCWF. Our 3rd Degree initiated members are called High Priestesses or High Priests and have full clergy status within the SCWF and in the eyes of the State and Federal Governments.
Our Ordained Clergy may officiate /perform legal Weddings, Funerals and even other rights of passage. The SCWF has gone to great lengths to ensure that we have legal church status in both state and federal governments and therefore are able to provide certain necessary services to the greater pagan community. We are not like many other organizations; we are incorporated as a Wiccan Church and have tax exempt status. From time to time we do have to pay local, city as well as state and federal governments a yearly fee for the privilege of non-profit incorporated status, so we do assign certain fees to certain services.
We provide ceremonies for all stages of life, legal Handfastings (Weddings) , non-legally binding Handfastings (commitment ceremonies) , vow renewals, Handpartings and many others. We will always customize ceremonies to meet the wishes of the couple.
In addition, upon request we will provide non-religious ceremonies, such as Funerary Rites, Wiccanings (Baby Blessings) as well as provide services such as hospital visitations or crises intervention.
Our Clergy will travel anywhere within the State of North Carolina, though travel charges and accommodation fees may be assessed depending upon distance and circumstances.
