Rune Crafter

Skill/Service Details: Merry Meet and Welcome! I am very pleased to be offering my handcrafted Rune sets, I have been gathering wood and working on these for a long time. I have many different types and sizes of runes.
I spend many hours hand cutting, peeling, sanding, and finishing each set of runes that I sell, no power tool is ever used!
I cut them with a hand saw, peel the bark with a knife by hand, then sand it by hand three times for a smooth finish, finally I rub each rune with natural beeswax to protect the wood.
I have the following species of wood available:
* Black Willow
* Red Maple
* Holly (male tree)
* Hemlock
* White Pine
* Oak
* Dogwood
* Silver Maple
* Wild Cherry
* and a few I've not been able to identify yet....
The branches used to make these runes are removed with permission from trees that are being cleared for the construction of my new home. When my husband and I bought our 13 acres of paradise 4 years ago, we made a promise to the land that we would cut only what we had to for the house seat, that we would use every bit of the wood we had to cut, and that we would plant a new tree for every tree we cut.
This land is our sanctuary and is sacred ground. True to our word we honor each and every tree that we have to cut by turning its branches into beautiful wands, runes, furniture, sculpture and anything else that the wood inspires. The money from the sale of these wands goes directly back into the land and will be primarily used to purchase new trees. Thank you for looking and Blessed Be!
Rates: $30-$50 per set. Most sets are $30, custom sets available, I can make custom sets using any symbols you want, just ask me.
