Herbal Workshops & Consulting; Tours

Offered by: Niniann

Located in: Canaan, New Hampshire

Skill/Service Details: UPDATED AUG 2, 2018: Since age 5, at her grandmother's side , Niniann started learning about and working with herbs, plants , and flowers. Half a century of gardening gave her a love of all things green and growing. She especially loves wildflowers, native plants and herbs. Being an herbalist is much more than working with green bits of plant material. She has a long practice of working with plant and nature spirits for healing.
If you would like some advice with designing your garden, or outdoor sacred space, she can help. Here at Evenmore Gardens there are two acres of beautiful display gardens to inspire you. Our fairy garden delights both young and old. Our botanical sanctuary of native plants is beautiful as well as educational. Niniann would be happy to consult with you to start a plan for your special garden.
Guided tours of the gardens can be arranged by appointment. Tours are fun and educational with lots of herbal lore and history. Tours can be geared for children's groups, adults and garden clubs, or just a small group of friends interested in plants and gardening. There is something in our magical gardens for everyone. Our gardens are the perfect spot for a bridal shower, a small wedding, a birthday tour for your Mom, or fairy party for your child's birthday. Learn some interesting herbal history and lore, find out which plants the fairies love! Bring home some herbs for a gourmet , tea herbs to help relieve a child's tummy ache, or tasty herbs to find the way to a lover's heart through their stomach! Come gather your own culinary, medicinal , or magical herbs in the old traditions at the proper moon times. We can help you choose the best fresh cut herbs in season for your individual culinary, medicinal or spiritual needs. . We no longer sell potted plants to the general public but if you come for a tour in the Spring we usually have some perennial divisions available, and extra pots of herbs or native plants in the greenhouse we can part with. Individuals just wishing to stroll through the gardens for some peace or meditation may do so by calling ahead (just to make sure Niniann is home and not out teaching a workshop, or wondering around the woods) . She no longer keeps regular business hours. Being retired she may have been be up making midnight margueritas , so please try to call ahead or e-mail before visiting. If you are already in the area , then don't be shy, stop in to see if by chance Niniann is in the gardens but there are no promises without an appointment.

If you are a serious seeker, we can arrange workshops and classes to suit your needs and interests. Niniann also accepts one apprentice/ intern per season . Post inquiries to if you are interested in a season of internship. Guided tours, and herb walks by appointment, and also special educational programs for children and school classes.
