Christopher Bashaw has been a registered nurse encroaching 25 years of western practice. Along with his knowledge of allopathic western medicine, Christopher is a practicing herbologist, shamanic practitioner, Reiki Master/Teacher, yoga and tai chi instructor, angel card reader, medial massage practitioner, crystal healer, and certified natural fitness trainer. He holds advanced degrees in Naturology (study of natural medicine) , religion, and divinity. He is an ordained Buddhist Priest, and licensed family head of Kosho Hoho Yooga (KHY) system - depicting the warrior-healer model of ancient times. He holds an eighth degree black belt in martial arts, and inducted into several Martial Art Halls of Fame.
Christopher adapts a personal and professional approach, that healing occurs as dis-ease is vanquished when the body, mind, as well as the spirit harmonize. This is done through use of natural laws of healing, while understanding a western medical model. Christopher’s training has included various academic courses, certifications, and traditional apprenticeships.
Medical Massage: As a RN Christopher practices medical massage. It is well documented that massage contributes significantly to your health and well-being. Massage relaxes, increases circulation, eases anxiety, and expedites recovery from injury. Medical massage is therapeutic bodywork delivered in a medical model of understanding. Delivering medical massage care requires advanced understanding in pathology and contraindications, medical communication and documentation. We have only recently begun to clarify the differences between medical massage and wellness massage.
Koshonic Body Stress Release ©: Emotional, mental, physical, environmental, and chemical stress; are all part of life. Stress becomes a negative, destructive factor when it goes beyond the individual's ability to adapt. Stress can become stored in our bodies and manifest as backache, headaches, postural distortions, or fatigue. Koshonic Body Stress Release © uses light, precise stimulation to encourage the body to release stored tensions. This includes physical touch combined with lightwork and shamanic therapy. Unlike, massage the individual is fully dressed, wearing a light layer of clothing. Ideal for fybromyalgia sufferers.
Reiki is a form of energy work or laying on of hands, used for the treatment of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dis-eases. Mikao Usui developed Reiki in early 20th century Japan, where he said he received the ability of 'healing without energy depletion' on Mount Kurama. In a typical whole-body Reiki treatment within the clinical setting, the practitioner asks the recipient to lie down, usually on a massage table, and relax. Loose, comfortable clothing is usually worn during the treatment. The practitioner places his hands on the recipient in various positions (however, a non-touching technique, where the hands are held a few centimeters away from the recipient's body may be applied for part or all of the treatment session) . The hands are usually kept still for 3 to 5 minutes before moving to the next position. Between 12 and 20 positions are used along side the entire body, with the whole treatment lasting 45 to 90 minutes. A treatment is deeply relaxing and benefits both the client and the practitioner. Reiki is both powerful and gentle, and in its long history has aided in healing virtually every known illness or injury - including: cancer, heart disease, AIDS, asthma, skin problems, cuts, broken bones, headaches, colds, and on and on. Any problem involving mind, body, or spirit can benefit from a Reiki treatment.
Crystal Healing: Crystals have been used for healing since ancient times by many different cultures and in the last twenty odd years, there has been a great revival of this effective healing art. Crystals are highly powerful and effective tools for healing as they contain a number of special properties and interact with us in many different ways. One of these properties is the unique vibration of each crystal. This is a result of its color frequency, chemical composition, inner atomic structure, and outer form. Not only does this property make a crystal indispensable in altering electromagnetic waves for medical machinery and quartz watches, but it can also modify ‘healing energy’. Another property of crystals is the distinct orderly structure which enables them to absorb, reflect, transform, transmute, balance, direct, amplify, clear, focus, etc., energies. Essentially, a crystal can adapt healing energy in any way imaginable. A session consists of being fully clothed and lying on a treatment table; the practitioner selects specific crystals to lie on the body. A treatment is initially a few minutes but will build up in time as more may be required. It has been said the effects of a 10 minute crystal treatment equates a 2 hour reiki session.

By incorporating delicious whole foods, dietary and herbal supplementation, regular exercise, and awareness practices, energy reservoirs will be replenished, a new level of emotional stability will be experienced, and the internal processes of the body will be optimally supported, to bring the body back to homeostasis. With a thorough consultation, we both will learn about your health, your body, and your life to determine what your body needs to maintain health and wellness. KHY Tai Chi: Tai chi from the KHY system is a slow, gentle, dance like exercise that promotes energy cultivation and flow. These patterns are learned and practiced over time. Like meditation and massage therapy, it appears that Tai Chi can slow the heart rate, improve digestion and circulation, and relax the mind and body. Current research indicates that Tai Chi is a weight bearing and moderate intensity cardiovascular exercise. Practice of Tai Chi can improve balance, reduce falls, and increase leg strength. It also lowers stress hormones, enhances respiratory and immune function, and promotes emotional well-being. Classes include the science as well as esoteric lessons related to chi.
KHY Shugendo Yoga: a soft, spiritual yoga practice which includes non-sectarian prayer, self healing tips, yoga posture, Chi Kung, and mediation. It has been likened to the lightning path to raise Kundilini, developing psychic awareness, and improved health; safely.

Private Nursing Care: Do you have a dressing which needs to be changed? Do you require a patient advocate? Do you need someone to explain your medical records and condition to you? Do you need education about your medications? Need help setting up and organizing your medications? Do you require skilled nursing care for just a few visits? Provide a Dr’s order and make an appointment. Home care available as well as office visits. Does not include expense of supplies.

Christopher Bashaw can provide any of these treatments at the individual’s bedside as well as providing supportive, compassionate, and holistic care to the death and dying process. Charge does not include additional travel fee or supplies.

Office fee: $65.00 per visit at our office. Ear cones and supplements as well as nursing supplies not included. Office fee is based on a one hour appointment. Payment is expected at time of services without exception. Cash or check. Travel fee is based on mileage round trip from office to office at .49 cents per mile. Ear cones and nursing supplies are expected to be purchased by the individual and brought to the visit.
Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy: Twenty-four hour notice is required if you must cancel your individual consultation or appointment. If you do not cancel your consultation within 24 hours or if you miss an appointment, Christopher Bashaw has the right to bill you for the full amount of allotted time scheduled.
