It used to be that Pagan couples had to have 2 ceremonies. One with a full circle casting for only those closest to them and another mundane ceremony for the family. These days there is a lot of middle ground and the perfect balance is different for every couple. Handfastings are more and more becoming the only ceremony many couples choose to have. Sometimes it is a section in a ceremony that is more about the couple, the love of friends and family their connection to the earth and her cycles and the expression of their marriage as the union of all that is divine within them. Sometimes more elaborate and sometimes less. Many times it is an Interfaith ceremony that speaks of the common ground we all share.
But enough of what "it" can be. What do you want YOURS to be? The words and the energy that go with them are important in creating all of your tomorrows.
