What is a ghost? Some people do not believe in ghosts and that is the end of the discussion. People have different theories as to what causes the phenomena we commonly refer to as ghosts. A haunting can be defined as several paranormal events in a common setting. A haunting generally occurs in a specific locale, but may continue after this locale has been torn down and rebuilt.

A haunting may not be tied to a location. It could be a person. Poltergeists are usually attached to people and follow them from place to place. Poltergeists are "noisy ghosts." They cause things to move from place to place, make noise and generally upset the routine of their surroundings.

Frequently, violent or traumatic events seem to release an energy that imprints the action on a place or object. In this kind of haunting, the violent action repeats itself, like videotape rewound and played over and over again. This haunting can be seen, heard, felt or even smelled.

Our understanding of reality is based on our perception of that reality. We judge our surroundings based on our understanding of this “reality.” Our five senses dictate this reality; sight, sound, taste, smell and touch. If we can't measure it with our senses, we automatically deem it not “real”

As we cross from life unto death, a newly departed spirit keeps their prior living characteristics and is not just a displaced spirit without a personality, intelligence or emotions. If this departed spirit was happy in life, they will be happy as a departed spirit. Equally, if they were angry in life, they will hold on to this temperament in death and act in the same manner.
What I am suggesting is that a departed spirit is not simply a displaced spirit lacking human qualities. This displaced spirit is not an "it, " but a transformed or evolved life form that for reasons unknown to the vast majority of the population has chosen to remain behind in this earth plane as a ghost.

It is important is not to judge ghosts as evil, because this self-righteous attitude is the same mind set the Europeans had when they arrived in this land. They thought it was their god given right to rid the land of Indians. Unfortunately, these Europeans felt the Indians were savages and heathens and deserved to all be exterminated. Sorrowfully, the Native Americans were the victims of the white man's lack of cultural understanding.

Sometimes, what is experienced is not a ghost at all but an elemental apparition. An elemental apparition is an emotional build up which has been given “life” by the continual emotion felt in a certain area. For example, every time you go into your basement, you feel afraid because this is how you have felt since you were a child. Over time, this constant feeling has breathed “life” to a specter that not only you would experience. These elementals need to be handled differently then ghosts. Ghosts need to be handled with sensitivity and love, while elementals should be disposed of as “garbage” Unfortunately, most people can not differentiate the two. While elementals “act” as a ghost, they assuredly are quite different.

The service we are providing is the elimination of elementals and the safe passage of ghosts to the other plane. It is not our job to “judge” these ghosts but to make sure they are lovingly sent to their final destination.
