Officially, I'm legally obliged to tell you that the reading of cards is for entertainment value, but unofficially, I can tell you that it can be so much more. I've been reading the Tarot, runes, stones, scrying and doing dream interpretation since 1984, and have helped people with problem pregnancies, relationship issues, educational quandries, 'coming out' both as Pagan and GLBT, and family reunions. Some of these cases are joyful, others encouraged immediately seeking out medical assistance, but all of them were valuable insights into what was going on behind the scenes that were brought out by consulting the images in the Tarot and using open-ended discussion to explore pro's and con's on life's path.
Used sensitively, Tarot counseling assists not only in exploring surface issues and 'helpful hints', but also can be a tool in alleviating the ravages of PTSD and other conditions where the client needs not only insight into what happened or is happening, but also a need to be heard in a private, one-on-one setting by letting out emotional issues in a confidential manner.
Rates: Three card reading for $5, longer reading sessions range between $15 dollars for a Celtic Spread and $30 for a full conseling session.
