Antiquarian researcher and painter

Skill/Service Details: Studio work: Transparent watercolors, featuring various subjects emerging from much loved antiquarian research. The current body of work represents "visual meditations" of metaphysical images, symbols and colors. This practice helps me to find the elements to form positive attitudes, to enhance the powers of my joy, inspiration, imagination, intuition and mindfulness.
What's in my mind? I strive to penetrate/understand the feminine mysteries - A work in progress!
It's always about finding civilized expressions of rebellion, inspiration, whimsy, polarity, balance and peace of mind.
My goal - in general - is to stir the cosmic cauldron of cross-cultural ideas; my search for the feminine grail.
I hope my paintings ring an inner bell for the viewer.
As culture ebbs, flows and changes, people connect to and preserve ancient ideas through symbols.
My work represents a brew of pre-christian deities/spirits from Greek, Roman, Etruscan, Italic (European/Mediterranean) , some Celtic, Norse, Germanic and Egyptian cultures that resonate/contain moon matri-focal, matri-linear Goddess traditions!
It's all about reclaiming the feminine (ancient feminism filtered through the veils of time) through historical, metaphysical correspondences: IE: elementals, the four quarters, planets, sun and moon, colors, symbols, plants, creatures (flora and fauna) , deity/spirit, ritual and fun, etc.

"En Plein Air": Looking for "on the path" sketchers/painters to join me for "nearby outdoor/indoor painting field trips" for landscapes, seascapes, interiors, still-life, nude studies, experiemental, etc., among other motifs.
