What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word which means Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is a blending of cosmic energy (Rei) and the energy within us (Ki) . It is the energy of life, of growth and healing. Reiki is a natural healing art.
Benefits
*Reiki eases pain, relaxes tension and muscles, reduces stress, relieves anxiety, speeds the healing process and calms the emotions.
*Reiki can be used in conjunction with medical treatment. It will not interfere with medication or procedures, other than to make them more effective and the patient more comfortable.
*Reiki restores harmony to the body by releasing stagnant energy blocks at the physical, emotional, mental or spiritual levels.
*Reiki improves physical health, increases vitality, and renews the spirit.
The Reiki Treatment
The Reiki Treatment is safe, non-invasive and non-manipulative. The recipient remains fully clothed while the practitioner lays his or her hands lightly on the body. The practitioner allows Reiki energy to flow through his or her body out the hands into the body of the recipient to harmonize and balance the body, mind and emotions.
Reiki can also be transmitted from a distance. The rate of healing depends on the openness of the recipient; pain and acute symptoms are usually relieved quickly while chronic conditions may require more extensive treatment, depending on the root cause of the problem, and the amount of energy needed to bring the affected area back into balance.
