Guided Meditation Classes

Skill/Service Details: Guided Meditation classes will be offered every Thursday beginning Oct. 5, 2009 at 6:30pm, at Chrysalis in downtown Radford.
Guided Meditation classes
Guided Meditation classes will have a 10-20 minute explanation of the meditation topic and will also have a 10 minute Guided Meditation at the end of every class. Topics will vary every week and no class is ever the same.

What is Guided Meditation?
Guided Meditation classes are our meditation classes for people who are familiar with basic meditation principles and techniques. Guided Meditation helps stimulate the mind and spirit during meditation to enhance the spirit. Topics will vary every week and can include meditations to add the following: Chakras, Animal Totems, Familiars, Healing, etc.
How can Meditation benefit me physically?
Meditation has been shown to allow for a deeper level of relaxation, resulting in: lower stress levels, lower heart rate, decreased high blood pressure, improved flow of air to the lungs, increased levels of energy, decreased muscle tension, improved immune system and sound sleep.
How can Meditation benefit me Spiritually?
The Spiritual benefits of Meditation include a more solid peace of mind. Encourages emotional and mental detachment to problems, allows for a heightened awareness of the inner self. The ability to look within, beyond the body, mind and personality are acquired over time. Discovering the power of consciousness beyond ego, the discovery of one's true being and attaining self-realization and spiritual awakening are some of the Spiritual benefits of meditation.
Who will be leading the Meditations?
Our very own Spiritual Life Coach & Holistic Health Practitioner Rev. A.G. Oflight, SPD. She has many years of experience practicing and leading private sessions and groups.
Rates: All meditation classes are free to the public, however a $7 donation is requested before class. Drop ins are welcome. Space is limited so be sure to come early if you can.
