Skill/Service Details: Green Greetings! I offer wide variety of hands-on workshops, potluck parties, and custom classes for all ages, learning styles, groups, and abilities. Together, we'll spend a few hours learning, laughing, playing, and exploring ways to nourish and nurture ourselves with nature. Everyone leaves with samples, recipes, and a new appreciation for the green world around us.
Themes include:
~An Herbal Intro (a mix of topics to whet your interest)
~A Taste of Nature (herbal candies, "weed salads, " infused oils, and more)
~Better Than Bought (natural recipes for everyday items, from toothpaste and lip balm to "instant" foods and BBQ sauce)
~Green Kids (dreamtime tea, all-purpose salve, wild edibles and herbal "stuffies")
~Hearth and Haven (people- and pet-friendly sanitizers, kitchen cleansers, sink scrubs, and welcoming room spritzers)
~Homemade Spa (sugar scrubs, bath salts, lotions, and steams)
~Kitchen Witch 101 (anointing oils, tinctures, candles, etc.)
~Love-My-Baby Shower (cradle cap oil, soothing powder, diaper balm, herbal "stuffies")
~Make-Your-Own First-Aid Kit (basics for burns, bruises, sore throats and tummies) .
~Making Scents (custom fragrance blends for oils, spritzers, lotions, etc)
~Natural Gifts (wonderful presents for family and friends)
~Nature's Facials (exfoliants, masques, toners)
~Spice of Life (herb and spice blends for dips, marinades, soups, curries, grilling, and more)
~Tincture-tinis! (all things herbal and alcoholic, from homemade kahlua and infused vodka to vanilla extract and other herbal tinctures)
~Wild Friends (meet your weeds - identify, harvest, cook and love)

Self-described "vagabond herbalist, " aromatherapist, teacher, and aspiring wise woman, Jessica Bellantone founded Blackbird's Daughter in 2009 to share her passion, knowledge, and love of the green world with everyone who wishes to learn. She travels throughout the United States, offering a wide variety of healing services and custom-crafted rituals, classes, parties, and workshops, as well as herbal and aromatherapeutic products for body, spirit, and home.
Rates: Rates range from $10-60 per person depending on topic and number of attendees, plus materials. For gatherings of more than 6 people, the host's tuition is waived. Come, play, and be blessed. For events farther than 40 miles from Portsmouth, NH, reasonable travel expenses may be required. Sliding scales are available, and barter/trade is welcome - everyone deserves to learn, no matter what your finances!
