Title: More choosing the alternative health path
USE of vitamins and herbal medicines has hit an all-time high, with middle-aged women identified as the biggest users of these and other forms of alternative medicine.
More than half of the 3015 South Australian residents surveyed had used complementary medicine or therapy in the previous year, according to the survey conducted in 2004 - including traditional Chinese medicines, aromatherapy oils, homoeopathic products and visits to naturopaths, acupuncturists or reflexologists.
