Title: OUTRAGE OVER FLETCHER CASE
Civil libertarians have condemned a decision to keep a self-proclaimed witch and convicted child sex offender in jail after his prison term expired.
Robin Fletcher, 49, has been in jail since 1996 after pleading guilty to prostituting a child and sexual penetration of a child under 16.
The professed witch used hypnotism and mind-altering techniques to gain control over two 15-year-old girls and turn them into sex slaves.
His maximum term expired at midnight last night, but the Victorian government successfully sought an extended supervision order, granted by the Supreme Court, amid fears he had shown signs of reoffending.
After the order was granted, the adult parole board then imposed more than 20 conditions on Fletcher, forcing him to live in a building inside the grounds of Ararat jail in central Victoria.

well, at least he's honest, when he stated that he intended to start where he left off. And he is pointing out in his own inimitable way, that the sentence he carried out was nothing more than a temporary deterrant to his crime.
They need to change the type of sentence that is mandatory for this crime- not tack something on afterward.

Actually that stat is dead wrong. As a whole sex offenders have the LOWEST recidivism rates, with first time offenders against children among the lowest in that group. Pedophilia is a disfunction, lets separate the disfunction from the crime that accompanies it.
This guy is a creep, I don't like him. At the same time if we change the rules after the guy is sentenced we are no longer a nation of laws. And neither would Australia. Then we start inviting nasty little things like adding on to a sentence because we don't like their religion, and we all know who would get the short end of that stick...
