Sex Slave 'Witch' Wins Freedom Bid

Author: AAP Source: Sydney Morning Herald (AU)

Title: SEX SLAVE 'WITCH' WINS FREEDOM BID
A self-proclaimed male witch who turned teenage girls into sex slaves has won a Victorian court battle to be allowed to live in the community.
Robin Angas Fletcher, 49, finished a 10-year jail term in June, but has been living in Ararat jail under an extended supervision order.
He was jailed after pleading guilty to prostituting a child, sexual penetration, and indecent acts against a child aged under 16.
Justice Bill Gillard today ruled the Adult Parole Board was acting unlawfully by keeping Fletcher in the prison after he had completed his jail term.

I also believe that condemning this pervert is a waste of time that could be taken in re-educating both pagan and non-pagan alike. This man is vile, it's all agreed, but pagan or not, his crimes were an offense against we as any kind of human creature. I feel the sentance was too light, but the law is to blame for erring on the side of the accused not the victim. The fact that he is unrepentant is also a cause for review, as he is surely a risk to reoffend. Various pagan organisations Australia-wide have been working very hard to educate everyone from all communities about not only this man, but the truths about witchcraft, paganism etc. Word of mouth, and the care of younger, or inexperienced seekers by the elders within our tribes who hold both respect and wisdom/knowledge will be the best defence against these perverts. And a good spell wouldn't go astray lol....

Here's a suggestion - conviction of violence against a child - death penalty. Conviction of rape - staked naked in a pen with a suckling calf for a few days.
No more re-offenders. Simple, easy, straight forward.
As an aside, I've never understood why they don't teach martial arts in girls gym classes from about the age of 10 onwards.
just a thought.

It is time, past time that sexual crime, not only against children but anyone carries a life sentence.
Everyone must do their part in pushing their representatives for life sentences for sexual offenders no matter what their religion.
It's the only way.

Mysteries Child (Garfield, Arkansas) - Email Me

The sentence, from the beginning, was far too light.
It should have been life.
Or, considering that he openly acknowledged his crimes and openly stated that he would re-offend, death.
Still, allowing one man, no matter how richly he deserves it, to be held past the completion of his sentence opens the door for the same to be done to the truly rehabilitated-- or the innocent to begin with-- on a whim.
Yes, let him go. Let him out in the community. Out of that nice, safe cell. Out where someone like my vigilante gun-totin' friends can get at him, and maybe decide to use him for a little advanced target practice.
And sentence them lightly. Or turn a blind eye.
"Earlier this year Australia's pagan community moved to distance itself from Fletcher."
I can understand that.
Maybe it's time to do more than distance.
Maybe it's time to get up close and personal.
Maybe it's time to volunteer to monitor him to make sure he doesn't get another chance. Any law enforcement types out there?? Big believers in self-defense?? How about someone who gets closer to the Gods thru competitive kickboxing and considers themselves an agent of Threefold Return??
Send him to me. I can't promise he'll come back rehabilitated...
...but on the other hand, I also can't promise he'll come back intact. Or alive.
If you don't feel like getting that up close and that personal, maybe it's time to get busy working on more appropriate sentencing for sex criminals.
We've certainly got some ammunition in the release of this f*cker.

Opus the Poet (Garland, Texas) - Email Me - Web

I am extremely happy that Australia has decided to obey their own laws and release a prisoner who has served every day of his sentence, plus a few months. I have no love for this prisoner or what he did, but holding him beyond the termination date of his sentence because they didn't like him puts all Australian Pagans at risk, and non-Pagan Aussies too for that matter. If a person can be held beyond his sentence in defiance of the law, why bother to have a trial? Just put people you don't like in prison and forget about them, or just kill them. And so the slide into anarchy and chaos begins. This court decision stops that slide.

Lets keep in mind that the question being asked of the court here was whether it was lawful for the state to keep a person locked up in prison after they had served their full term under the pretence of a community supervision order. Nothing more, nothing less.
Whatever you think of what Fletcher has done, and there will be few who would support his actions, don't loose sight of what the real issue was in this case.
That being said, I believe that the whole Fletcher episode provides grounds for some serious soul searching for the entire pagan community and that this soul searching must extend deeper than merely condeming Fletcher (though of course he deserves richly to be condemned) .
