Hamilton's Pagans Subject Of New Paperback

Author: The Hamilton Spectator Source: The Hamilton Spectator (Canada)

Title: HAMILTON'S PAGANS SUBJECT OF NEW PAPERBACK
They tend to keep a low profile, but the pagans of Hamilton are now the subject of a guide explaining what they are all about.
Burlington resident and Mohawk College instructor Neil Jamieson-Williams has self-published a book called A Field Guide to Modern Pagans in Hamilton, Ontario.
It is a primer on modern pagans and how to observe them, and includes several pagan group profiles in Hamilton.
He believes the 149-page paperback is a good resource for anyone studying modern pagans, 75 to 80 per cent of whom in Canada are Wiccans.

I don't care if I'm 'outed' as a pagan. Everybody I bother knowing beyond casual aqaintences knows I'm a pagan, and a Leafs fan- the latter is far more embarrassing to everyone involved then the former. Most people don't care about my faith- some suggest I ought to curse the Ottawa Sens (but thats just annother happy dream) but anyone who does have a real problem with my faith I simply don't care to know.
I've said for years that ecclestical Pagans, Neos, Wiccans and all others should cultivate more links between each other and get more open and polticly active. Although few in number (by comparision anyways) we're the fasted growing religion/philosophy in North America. On average we have a better education, disposable income and are already active in social groups. Most of us are social libertarians and we have far more power then our limited (but growing) numbers would suggest.
I'm proud to be a pagan and if anyone has a problem with that then the can either meet me in the allyways, bite thier tounge or realize that the time of a single faith dominating poltics in north America is over.
(don't suppose anyone would vote for me as an M.P, eh?

Mistaken identities seem to be a Fundy's stock in trade. And a lot of people were persecuted for their beliefs and lifestyles-who really weren't, because they only looked it- or because someone said they were. I only hope it works out for the best.

Maybe more of us moden Pagans need to take this guy's iniative and write similar books or pamphlets.
It would be a good way to counter groups like WorldNutDaily.
