Title: SHELTER FOR STRAYS IN EXPANSION MODE
For a bunch of Mother’s Heart inmates, Valentine’s Day meant a day out with heart-shaped pink balloons and roses. The puppies and kittens purred and licked their limbs as visitors at Forum, on Elgin Road, stopped by at the lobby to look at them.
The animals were up for adoption. The event also kicked off an awareness-cum-fundraiser campaign, supported by Wiccan Brigade and AMRI Hospitals.
The animal welfare wing of the Wiccan Brigade — launched by wiccan Ipsita Roy Chakraverti last November — is helping Mother’s Heart in a string of projects.
“Wicca has always been close to nature and animals. We are helping Mother’s Heart raise funds. In the pipeline is a show by strays who will be put up for adoption,” said Ipsita.

It's nice to see people caring for animals and finding good homes for them.
I love animals and it always makes me cry when I hear about animal cruelty.

I wish them luck. I'm a veterinary assistant myself, it's terrifying how many animals out there are in need of a good home. I'm always heart-warmed to hear about more fighting on the side of the animals.

Everybody loves fluffy things! And feathery things...and scaly things...and... well, it's always heart-warming to read about people looking out for animals, isn't it!
And it has an additional benefit... it's great publicity too. Every Pagan that is seen doing something good like this puts us a step closer to being accepted like Buddhists, Jews, and even Christians.
