Title: SORCERY CASTS SPELL ON VILLAGE
If you thought superstition about cats was limited to stopping and saying a prayer whenever a furry feline crossed someone’s path, think again.
Practitioners of witchcraft in a village not far from Dibrugarh town “sacrificed” as many as 30 cats last month after pronouncing these harmless pets guilty of impeding the progress of society. Worse still, some greedy village sorcerers allegedly misled two gullible siblings who had gone to them for help to commit suicide.
The only ray of hope for Madhupur Baroghoria village, under Barbaruah police station, is Biswajyoti Chungkrang. The youth has formed a 15-member group to campaign against witchcraft in his village and its surrounding areas.

have something to do with stupidity of people.
Kali does'nt care about the acts of her devotees. She cares about their heart. She gives and she takes back as she wish.
And its the same matter with every faith, it is not because you believe in something that makes you a good person.
There is still a lot of prejudice in India and so everywhere in the world. We don't have to judge them back. And who has ever been to India here.. maybe few of us. And unfortunately not me yet...

This is true insanity in no way relating to witchcraft as any of us know it.
These poor, uneducated people are being coerced and used by some who would call themselves sorcerers.
It is simply a way for them to have power and be in control of others, it is evil in the heart of those at best.
It is, truly, another sad case which makes one wonder how a human being can allow themselves to be so harsh.
