Black Magic Women

Author: Istlanjali Singh Jaiswal   Source: Times of India

Title: BLACK MAGIC WOMEN

Ipsita Roy Chakraverti, the wellknown Wiccan of our country, is all set to step into the world of films. She gets talking to LT about her reel plans and other issues on her mind.

The stunningly attractive Ipsita Roy Chakraverti, our very own Wiccan, is indeed a force to reckon with. She has set up her own film production company to take the awareness about world of supernatural to a new level. She now plans to connect to the masses through her films based on the subject.

Besides, the well-known 'witch' has added another feather in her cap. The Union Govt has selected her to head a sub-committee that has been formed to take up the cause of girls' education.

but I don't know about Indian "witches", it's probably some nature-connected goddess they know in a different guise & this is just another way of her trying to get her messages through, it's awfully crowded over there. I am horrified that they killed an endangered big cat (can't remember if it was a lion or tiger) just because it killed 1 of them, like the Australians who reacted to that endangered great white shark as if it had eaten the last of their fertile males, rediculous! I know it was terrible for the family but Nature is crashing because of too many humans, I'd rather they just use contraceptives, otherwise there are "nature's options" like starvation (which doesn't kill instantly) , disease (like mrsa, malaria, etc) , lack of water, violence between various humans (I prefer to call them homonids now) , & various accidents, etc. People in general seem to prefer the more brutal methods.

Gods Remembered Jul 2nd. at 7:53:22 am EDT

Ahr-Ohn (Bridgeport, Connecticut) - Email Me

There's another article referenced, from the link, on what is ultimately the subject of the Devadasi. WitchCraft is a very significant difference between Western and Oriental Civilization, as Aradia's Temple allowed Civilization to come west, at the experience of the Old Country. In the West, WitchCraft is "The Old Religion," but, in the Orient, Aradia had been a recent upstart, and nothing much has happened in the millenia since.

India remembers her Gods, with places where they stepped, often with exact dates, and some in their hundredth century. These were actual people, who left significant advances on Civilization. Amongst the remembrances of Western Gods, the myths are rather more vague, and the locations are less precise. Western Myth is more credible than Credited.

Santa Claus stands as an example. Many people don't believe in Santa, due to the creative freedom to which the Patron Saint of Children and Thieves is subjected, but the Roman Catholic documentation on this person, is that he'd been the 2nd Archbishop of Myra, in Anatolia, and is suspected of having been an avatar of Odin. Odin's been about, for some time, and I'm pretty sure a bit of tromping about, in India, will turn up some shrines, to some of his Avatars. As an Asura, Odin would have been directly and significantly involved in the Ocean of Milk, the location of which college was recorded in the MahaBharatha, as history.

History was invented in India, but 5,000 years made it too cumbersome to continue in an orderly development.

The Devadasi complain at the loss of their Temple Endowments, and this is really an incompetant surgery, which is trying to wean India from her remembrances of History, by cutting away the Feel of the Gods. WitchCraft happened when the Temples had all lost this feel, due to a commercial fixation, and I'm not too worried about their future, but the loss of Hindu History would be vastly worse than the Burning of the Library in mere Alexandria. Of course, all this history will be lost, at the next Ice Age, just as it was, in the loss of Cro Magnon Man, a Great Year ago.

I think it's time, for another Ocean of Milk. How do we fund such a school?

I Think This Is The Indian Form Of Wicca Jul 1st. at 7:31:52 pm EDT

Shadowbear (Hillsboro, Oregon) - Email Me

Which appears, from the lady in the article, to have little in common with what we think of as wicca. I don't remember anyone specifically raising and controlling spirits - either the dead or "demonic" spirits. I suppose you could, like inviting the ancestors at Samhain or for some other purpose but she seems to be off in some other world and calling it wiccan. The films she referred to do not seem to have much to do with wicca either.

I suspect some hindu fluffy bunny in the works somewhere.
