An Alternate Religion

Title: AN ALTERNATE RELIGION
Very few know what Wicca is really about. Mukul Sharma gives some details to dispel centuries of mistrust
In this world, where there are a confusingly large number of different religions and sects, with newer ones popping up every day, the word “WICCA” elicits either blank stares or vague talks of ‘evil’.
While the former reaction is probably due to the lack of awareness, the latter is the sad legacy of years (perhaps centuries) of misconceptions and mistrust.
To clear the doubts, here are the historical facts.

Autumnsong (Bessemer, Alabama) - Email Me

I've noticed that the majority of the well written, fair articles about Wicca and paganism come from high school students. Very interesting....

That article didn't slaughter the truth in any way I could see. Very well researched. And I don't mind the references to the movies, because those are definitely positive representations, and I'll take what I can get. Besides, how can you not love Sandra Bullock?

With the exception of the statement "However, unlike most other religions, there is no tussle between sects as to which one is the right way", i would say the piece was well researched.
Unfortunately, Pagans do fall into that bickering between eachother about which is the 'right' way, and who is more 'correct'. However, fortunately, most people are aware that this isn't acceptable and tend to work on equality and respect between the traditions.

Not bad. They even capitalized "Pagan." There's one problem, however: They fell into the same claptrap many reporters do by listing "The Craft," "Buffy," "Charmed," and "Practical Magic" as "positive sources" when Charmed and Buffy have both been off the air for a while and the two movies were released in the late 90s.

At least this guy has got his facts straight and doesn't bash us without a reason. I think he gives The Pagan Path it's due and doesn't blindly call it "evil" or "Devil worship" without cause and the facts to back it up. I think more articles like this that REALLY speak the truth are needed!
Love to all
