More: Witchcraft Training Gets Tax Break

Author: Reuters   Source: CNN

Title: WITCHCRAFT TRAINING GETS TAX BREAK

Dutch tax authorities have allowed a woman to deduct the €2,210 ($2,655) it cost her to take a one-year course in witchcraft, an inland revenue official said on Wednesday.

The 39-year actress and artist learnt how to use crystal balls and prepare herbs, and also spells and other witchcraft skills at the course held in the country's northwest.

"The woman used the training in order to start ... giving workshops, so she used it to extend her professional knowledge," the tax official told Reuters.

Tax breaks for Wiccan school supplies, absolutely wonderful. Only in the Netherlands would this be possible. I love the Dutch, they are so thoughtful, tolerant and enlightened.

Ministers Too Sep 28th. at 4:04:34 pm EDT

I don't know the current rules, in this country, but I remember when the IRS would allow Tuition to be tax exempt when the person was already working in that field. So a minister could take a deduction for a seminar on Counselling or Ritualism, while an engineer could not. Creative personell, needing grist for the mill, have a much broader scope of what to deduct.

Imagine what a writer could do, with the True Power being in Watts, while the Imaginary Power is in VAR.

More lee-way could be allowed if the Witch School were taking donations as a non-profit.

Someday, I'll start a non-prophet Church, charging Cash for Services, and paying Stock-Holders.

How Much?!?! Sep 28th. at 1:10:42 pm EDT

Shadow (Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - Email Me

Seriously, get a book or something. That's WAY expensive. Then again, I'm a broke college student, so that's a fortune by my standards. And I seriously doubt that this will in any way occur in our country.

Tax Credits Are Wonderful Sep 28th. at 9:45:52 am EDT

Morning Light (Fairplay, Colorado) - Email Me

Taking classes to get my Masters has been expensive, but the tax brakes I've gotten for them are good, as well as the raises at my job for the additional education. I am a High School teacher and I have dreamed of starting a boarding school for pagan students, Middle and High School, aged kids. An accredited school so that parents could take some tax credits for them. It's good to hear that some countries are acknowledging such education courses as tax deductable. Who knows maybe we will have such a school or at least be able to deduct any cost of taking herbal classes, Reiki, witchcraft classes, etc. from our taxes.
