A four-day-old foal has been slashed across the neck at a farm in Fife.
Fife Constabulary have launched an inquiry and are considering whether the attack may have been carried out by pagans dabbling in the occult ahead of the summer solstice on June 21 - a key date in the occult calendar.

There was a horst traning facility called Fats Jones' where movie horses were kept and trained. It housed, among other horses, the horses used on the tv series "Bonanza." They also had corrals of horses separted by color as "extras" for movies so they could easily choose which to send for any movie or program. It was heaven for me! An avid horse-lover and they had promised me a job as soon as I was old enough for the union to allow it.
Then one day the slashing started - not too many at a time - genitals cut off, throats cut, tails cut off, various other bits of knife work that I would rather not remember. All the Bonanza horses were cut and died or had to be put down, about 10-15 others were slashed and killed. It was really awful and quite a blood bath - and, you know what, NOBODY ever said "pagans" or "satanists" did it. Not once. It was rightly considered to be the work of a group of very sick individuals who may have gone back once too often as the slashings did not continue and the stable hands had started lurking at night while well armed.
Years later when someone was shooting arrows at horses in the area, no one said pagans then either.
Or, when they cut the tails from many horses in the LA area - not pagans.
I guess pointing the finger at "pagans" and "satanists" has become the fad for lazy journalists who don't want to bother writing catchy headlines and factually interesting stories. In this one, even the police would not follow along or give any substance to what the reporter said - I could just see them backing up while saying "we're pursuing other leads just now"

Moments like this make vigilante justice and an eye for an eye sound really, really good. No punishment more cruel and unusual than the crime, I say!

I have to admit, this sort of thing used to just make me roll my eyes, but now that I've got a child who has had an incident of another child spreading rumors and lies about him based on his religion, and I saw how HURT my CHILD was over such things, it infuriates me.

.... Much like an incident that happened in this state a few years ago, in which things were being done and blamed on local "satanic and pagan" youths celebrating a "occult" holiday.
They later found out it was a group of kids that liked heavy metal and were church attending choir singing Christians.
Makes one go .... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm .

This is another appalling incident in the never-ending list of crimes perpetrated by sick fvcks, and then blamed on Satanists or Pagans by the ignoramuses in law enforcement.

Apparently, the brain-dead imbeciles that commit these types of crimes have nothing better to do than to go around hacking up defenseless livestock. These individuals belong in a mental ward for the criminally insane. They will be caught.
The little mare will recover from this attack. Meanwhile, the Fife Constabulary need to pull their heads out of their rear ends, go get educated, and realize that whoever did this is neither a Satanist nor a Pagan.

But I really hate how, when some a**hole decides to feel powerful by attacking an animal, that it is instantly considered to be "dark arts" related. I mean really. Get over it already.

A police spokesman said: "We certainly will not be discounting the line of enquiry that it is related to Satanists."
Dabbling? What, they were just practicing for the summer solstice? There are no rituals I have ever seen which include the slashing of a foal's neck.
That and the little thing about saying Pagan first, then Satanists without making a differentiating statement between kinda irks me.
I wish they would do their research before speaking off the cuff.

These must be big, tough, all-powerful satanists, picking on a baby animal. I'm glad the article states it's an isolated incident, but they don't offer much evidence of the "occult" being a part of the attack, so I wish they'd keep their suspicions quiet until they have some proof. That said, I do hope they catch the sickos that did it. What purpose could there be in cutting a happy, healthy, four-day-old foal's throat? Things like this just sadden and disgust me.
