Psychics Are Given State Funding

Title: PSYCHICS ARE GIVEN STATE FUNDING
A decision to give taxpayers' money to a help a couple set up a business as psychic mediums has been criticised.
Paul and Deborah Rees, from Bridgend, claim they have been given Ł4,500 from Want2Work, which aims to help people on benefits get back to work.
The Department of Work and Pensions, which runs the scheme with the Welsh Assembly Government, said the money had come from "different areas".
The Taxpayers' Alliance called it a "ridiculous" waste on "mumbo-jumbo".
Want2Work is a scheme which operates in areas of deprivation and poverty in Wales and receives funding from a European social fund.

Whether or not anyone in authority believes in mediumism, work is work and money is mony. Want2Work is not patronizing mediums, they're funding what looks to them like a chance to get two people off welfare. Would they refuse to fund a donut shop because they were on a diet?
There's a market for the service these folks offer, they have put together what the Want2Work group thinks is a viable business plan, and there's no earthly reason they shouldn't get funding.
