Title: NATALIE MAINES SUED FOR DEFAMATION IN 'WEST MEMPHIS THREE' CASE
Dixie Chick singer Natalie Maines is being sued for defamation because of her involvement in "West Memphis Three" cause celebre, the Associated Press reports.
The case centers on the conviction of three Arkansas teens for killing three eight-year-old boys in 1993. Supporters of the teens say suspicion fell on them because they were heavily into heavy metal music and the occult. All were sentenced to life in prison or death.

sued.. "and that his behavior after the slayings indicated his guilt." Everything else was written in one paper or another.. And the allegations of the DNA is still being looked at, but mostly likely is not from any of the young men in question.
However the last part of this little tirade has only been implied and is a very subjective observation. So she will be sued and still make money. The young men will still be in prison.
I really would like to see these young men freed and the person (s) who are responsible convicted. it can happen I have lived to see a black man become president . So any thing is possible..

I also noticed the only "major" free email-based website carrying this story as one of their top headlines is AOL--notorious for its conservative politics. Obviously the right-wing press still harbors sour grapes against Maines for her anti-Bush comments...

Not sure this lawsuit is kosher. I mean, MANY people have been saying John Mark Byers is guilty of these crimes for many years. It's been all over the internet for years. He didn't try to sue anyone, and he has a history of financial scamming.
But I guess if you're ne of the Dixie Chicks you're a target for a lawsuit because your pockets are deeper?
Unbelievable.
Meanwhile, the search for the killers goes on, the deaths of Stevie, Michael and Christopher remain unavenged, and Damien, Jason and Jessie are still rotting in prison.
