Vegas Witch Stops By For A Spell With Arpaio

Author: Yvonne Wingett Source: The Arizona Republic

Title: VEGAS WITCH STOPS BY FOR A SPELL WITH ARPAIO
Las Vegas witch Magickal Marissa flew into Phoenix on Halloween and put a "good-karma spell" on Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arapio.
Dressed in a black cape, ruby-red pumps and glitter in her long-brown locks, she presented Arpaio with a black wax voodoo doll in an attempt to get him to change his ways.

I say we need more officials like Sheriff Arpaio. He isn't wicked, just tough on crime as he should be.

when we lived in Vegas We knew of this person. She went around VEGAS pulling these kind of stunts all the time. She was a major twit then and does not appear to have changed. If her hair is brown, it is brown dye #3 or the color has leached up through her body cause she is with out doubt full of it.
What amazes me is that this AR writer and the KPHO anchors Kent Dana and Catherine Anaya and the reporter ( dont remember which it was I was laughing so hard.) none of them seem capable of doing any background research. Even the smallest amount that would at least give them the appearance of knowing what they are talking about. Voodoo doll/ Voodoo curse indeed. Perhaps they are suffering from the effects of the "brain eating amoeba" they told us about a few weeks ago.
If you live outside of AZ and did not see the "live report" feel free to email me and I will tell you about it.
As for Sheriff Joe and his establishments and practices, The cost of running his jails has drastically reduced. That means that WE the taxpayers are paying less. The inmates pay for their own upkeep, No free ride. Some of the inmates staff an animal rescue unit which saves the lives of many animals and the inmates learn a needed profession.
Every inmate I have seen interviewed has said positively that they will never return to one of Joe's facilities.
One way or another that is a good thing for our state.

I'm of (at least) two minds on this...
I lived in AZ for about 20 years, and Joe Arpaio has been notorious for his (mis?) treatment of county prisoners for quite some time. It would be interesting for some grad students to do a study to see if Joe's demeaning methods actually cause a decline in recidivism.
As to Magickal Melissa or whatever her name was...sounds like a media stunt. Mayhaps some AZ Witches or some of the rest of you should do a little juju on Joe if you want to see changes. Better yet, Pagans need to create openlines of communication with local law enforcement entities all over the country, as AZ Witches and Pagans have been working on for about two decades now.

I can't abide a witch that lacks the courage of her convictions. If you are going to curse someone, do it right. What is this nonsense about a "good" Voodoo doll? Were the confiscated pins going to inject the goodness of the Goddess into him? Moron.
To start with, unless you are a New Orleans style practitioner of Vodun, it isn't a Voodoo doll. It is a poppet or a moppet. You don't use it to infuse the goodness of anything. You use it to cure, hurt, or manipulate the person for whom it is an effigy.
Thank you very much "Magical Marissa" or whatever your name is... for making us look like utter fools. Karma, by the way, is a complex theological notion native to Hinduism and Buddhism. It does NOT work like the Wiccan's "Threefold Law." Try cracking a damn book.
