Witch's Show At Sprague Library In Question

A group's idea to invite a witch to explain his craft at Sprague's library on Halloween has prompted toil and trouble in the small eastern Connecticut town.
The Rev. Rapid Cabot Freeman, who hosts a public access television show on witchcraft, says town officials trying to block his appearance are discriminating against him based on his religious beliefs.

there is just two words I would like to point out
EX husband
and why am I her ex? Because this woman made me choose between her "Alicia Folberth" and Laurie Cabot. Thats right this woman that calls herself a Priestess, sunk so low as to ask her priest husband to denounce his tradition, temple, and elder over her personal ego. So much for free will. and for the record I picked Laurie Cabot and I would do it again.
I am trying to foster public awareness in my home town and raise money to help children. damn that sounds pagan to me. I can't believe I am being slammed on witchvox from trying to help out some kids. A witch is a witch be them first second third or dedicate. my rank in the Cabot Temple is a desicion of my elder and I accept it. I am a second degree after a year and a day I will be third again. Now lets help these kids and act like witches. that is what I intend to do.

Rapid held a similar talk last year at the library he was asked by the library back this year it was decided to be held as a fundraiser for the friends of the library to replace stolen & out of date reference books and other things that are needed
the selectwoman has publicly stated she didn't want any witches in her town this has nothing to do with Alicia Folberth or the fact that she was married to him or any of their marital problems which should have been dealt with in the divorce proceedings
Rapid to date is an innocent man with a spotless record
we all live in a wonderful country
where there is such things as freedom of speech,religion and being innocent till proven guilty I think the Selectwoman doesn't know this or that she is an employee of the people not the Queen of the people

The Channel 8 News reporter was very nice - he called me from outside the Norwich police station and let me know my ex had been arrested. Check the Norwich Bulletin newspaper tomorrow, there may be an article, and there is also the police blotter.
As far as I am concerned, he is a disgrace to Witchcraft and everything we stand for. He didn't make his appointment with Channel 8 News for an on camera interview, due to the fact he had been arrested for stalking someone who has become a very dear friend of mine.
I truly, do thank the media for listening to the other side of the story, and for helping to do something about this situation. The warrant for his arrest had been out for weeks.
According to Channel 8 News, it turns out that he is no longer a resident of Sprague, and therefore, he cannot rent the library anyway. Only residents can rent it.
He was stripped of his 'honorary' third degree by Laurie Cabot herself months ago.
As for his title of Reverend, he gave it to himself. He didn't even send in a box top for it.
I use the title of Reverend because I am running a Wiccan and Pagan temple, and have done so for 13 years. I have done ministry work, and the Department of Corrections, like the rest of the non-Pagan punblic likes titles they can understand, which is why I use it.

Personally, I don't like how many Pagans use the title "Rev.", rather than "Priest of....". When I see someone going by the title of "Rev.", I automaticly think of a Christian minister, as those of the folk who have used the title. I have no problem with a Pagan clergy going to a library, if invited, to explain their beliefs. However, hopefully said person will state something to the effect that "This is what MY beliefs are", and not make it sound like all Pagans do what they do. JMO

This is my ex husband, who is also my rapist - and I did report the rape and still hold a restraining order against him - same as his 1st wife. He created this drama just to get attention being the narcissist abuser that he is. No one is allowed to tell him no in his world so he is "punishing" the town - just like he did with me.
His legal name is Rusty Lee Freeman - do a google. There is a warrant out for his arrest in Norwich for stalking another woman.
Kudos to the First Selectman for standing her ground!

There may be some discrimination from the Board, but I wouldn't fault Osten. She seems to be just doing her job. If Freeman didn't file the proper paperwork, then technically he should be denied the space.
I guess Osten doesn't need to be as anal about it, but the pressure from the Board probably has her hands tied.
