Racist Messages Found On Church, Lawn

Author: Lee Williams   Source: The News Journal (DE)

Title: RACIST MESSAGES FOUND ON CHURCH, LAWN

Vandals defaced St. Thomas AUMP Church, spray-painting racist and satanic graffiti on an outside wall.

The vandals drew satanic symbols and wrote "God isn't black" in black spray paint on the Glasgow-area church.

New Castle County police were also investigating a possible hate crime that occurred over the weekend on Benjamin Wright Drive in Lea Eara Farms East near Summit, where weed-killer or a similar liquid was used to spell out "KKK" in the lawn of a black family who have lived in the neighborhood for seven years.

A Hate Crime Hurts Everyone Jun 30th. at 12:11:09 am EDT

It's a hate crime pure and simple- and it was meant to target that church, but it sounds like it is an individual rather than something organized, so someone either wanted to scare people for fun or had a grudge against someone or a group in the church.
I'm sorry that happened. I hope that they catch the person -or people responsible.

My Response, Sent To The Congregation Jun 28th. at 6:23:11 pm EDT

Rev Jorinx (Sioux City, Iowa) - Email Me - Web

Dear Congregationers of St. Thomas AUMP Church,

Reading about the vandal attack on your church fills me with a sense of horror and outrage. It is truly sad that in this day and age people would stoop to such levels. Racism -- any sort of bigotry, really -- is a terrible, shamful thing. While it may be terrifying to the victim, it is truly a mark of shame on the perpetrator. I do hope and pray that whoever vandalized your church will be found and held accountable. More importantly, I hope and pray that the perpetrators see the errors of their ways, and strive to make amends.

While I am a Wiccan, and we may not see eye to eye in matters theological, I feel called upon to reach across the gulf that separates our faiths, and to express my concern for what has happend to your church -- as well as my solidarity.

Some 61 years ago, the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote, "I realize that all men are ambassadors of God."

In this spirit, I pray for healing and reconilication.

Blessed Be,
Rev. Jeva Singh-Anand
Siouxland First Wiccan Congregation

Just After The Big Rally Jun 28th. at 4:47:48 pm EDT

Aren't spiritual and marketing rallies wonderful?

The timing and location of these hate crimes appears more than coincidental. It could well be that the perpetrators had just returned from the large Klan rally on the historic battlefields of York, VA, or were enroute home from there when they stopped off for a little ritual practice, conehead style.

Overall however, which is more dangerous? A little spray paint in the hands of adrenalyn pumped Klansmen, or money and telecom facilities in the hands of large satellator whore RRR cult leaders using tax privileged funds to engage in politicking?
